command install in 2004 C230

Has anybody upgrades the stock non bose radio to the command unit? If so are there any gotcha's when doing it. The more detail I can get the better. I am looking into a command system from a G-class from Europe. Please give me any advice on this good or bad.

thanks,
Mike

G-class comand in a C...

1) a lot more work to install as you need to get a speedpulse from inside the fusebox to comand

2) a gyroscope that is 10 degrees off won't make the comand accurate...

advise: just get the proper comand for your car and save yourself some trouble.

could you elaborate on those two points a little more. I have done lots of custom stereo work and am not affraid of the challanges. But I am new to mercedes factory systems and I don't know why the speed pulse signal is needed and how do I find it and were would it get connected? And what is the gyroscope and is there anything that can be done about that being off by 10 degrees?

thanks for your help

Mike
