Key fob delay in door opening
Hi
Have a 2006 C180 Wagon. The key started playing up yesterday. I replaced the batteries but the following still happens:
1. There is about a 3-5 second delay between pressing the open or close button and car actually opening or closing...
2. When I insert the key into the ignitiion, I need to press a button the fob before it lets me turn the key (weird I know,,,)
I already searched online and have tried the folllowing:
- red light comes on okay when I press any button
- check the fob under the phone camera and signal seems to be coming out of fob okay
- fuse seems okay
- I tried to resync the fob but not sure if I am using the correct procedure for this model. Involves holding lock for 10 seconds and pressing unlock 5 times....
ANy other ideas?
Thanks

How about replacing the vehicle battery? Or disconnecting the battery cables, earthing them, waiting 30 minutes, then reconnect.

Could be. Is the next step to install a new vehicle battery?
