Is this OK to do

I have hooked up a DVD player in the trunk like this

From DVD player
Acc wire to FUSE #7 in the rear SAM
Constant to the constant fuse in rear SAM
ground to the cosest metal part of the car.....

Is this ok or do i need to wire it differently

You are probably going to want to run your constant from the positive terminal of the car's battery as opposed to a fuse. Other than that it looks alright.

But just to clarify as I know Peench know's although it was unsaid...be sure you run that constant power through a fuse block of some kind to the battery.

The rear SAM does have constant power, it does have a fuse also between it and the DVD player, isnt this the same as constant power

That it is, but you are then sharing a power source with a deticated fuse that serves a specific purpose. It will work and you will probably never have a problem, but I think it would be safer to run a single deticated source from the battery. Just IMHO

i have used a fuse that is spare, the appliance is not hooked up to fuse number 7
