Using Factory Amp / HK Command System with MOST Adapter
2006 CLS55 with the COMMAND/HK system...!
I am trying to use my factory amplifier with an AVIN MOST Adapter to an aftermarket radio. I *think* I have everything hooked up correctly, but am not sure how to trigger the amplifier to come on. The AVIN website says, "Your aftermarket radio must have the REMOTE ON feature to tell the factory amp to power on for sound output." I don't really have my head unit connected to anything but power, CANbus, and the MOST adapter.
My aftermarket radio is the Android Avin unit, and I am also using the Avin CANBUS box. I know the CANBUS is working (steering wheel controls, illumination with headlights, et al.)
Does the CANBUS tell the amplifier to turn on or is it a separate signal? I am so close and yet so confused..!
Any help greatly appreciated....! I did hook up the old COMMAND unit and the MOST loop is fine. I bypassed both the changer and the navigation DVD drive in the trunk with loop adapters....
