For those who use this plugged into the iPod interface, and also have hands-free calling via the factory phone interface, do you have issues with hands-free calling? I have this in my SL550, and also had one in the ML350 and they both do the same thing. When my phone is paired to both the CarPro and the car's hands-free calling interface, the phone conversation drops out quite a bit. It's not my phone as I have tried others (both Apple and Android) and they all seem to do it. I have contacted CoolStream, and they gave me some things to try (the usual simple stuff like delete and re-pair) but nothing helps. My only solution is to unplug the CarPro or disable it in my phone when I want to make calls.

I use both in my CLK350 and didn't experience any issues so far. If there's anything specific you want me to try out/verify, I'm happy to do so.

I have this same device in our w211 (09'). It wasn't until recently that I was using the phone feature of the car... but I have had the coolstream device plugged into the ipod interface so I could stream music from Spotify or Pandora from my phone. It would be both connected to the MB headunit that has BT, and the coolstream device (streaming). When I would call someone I noticed that as soon as my phone's screen went off the audio portion of the phone would cut in and out. It was probably a week of me trying to figure out wtf was happening. I found an older thread somewhere that the person said what is happening is that the head unit/bt device are competing for the use... so that's why the coolstream device keeps dropping in and out when on a call.

Sure enough I unplugged the coolstream device when I am talking on the phone and not once did the phone cut out. I hung up with my mom, plugged the device in again and called her. Experienced the same cut in/out before hanging up, disconnecting the device then calling her back to have zero issues.

So now what I do. If I know I am going to call someone I leave the device unplugged. If not, it gets plugged in and I stream music to it. I will note that it never cuts in and out with streaming music.

I tried unpairing/repair both device and mb headunit (NTG2.5), same results. You wouldn't have to disable it on your phone, just simply unplug the coolstream device when you want to make calls. (cuts a step out of the equation), then when done with call plug it back in and your phone should connect to it to stream music. I know we have different comand units but I feel like this is probably what is happening on your end.

This was extremely frustrating to me not know why the call was cutting in and out.
