I took the Dension 500s BT unit out of my 2006 CL65 with the intention of installing it into a 2006 G55. In both cases it is replacing the cd changer on the fiber optic loop.
I had absolutely no issues in the CL65, took off the plug, installed the two cables into a dension plug, and plugged it in.
However, as can be seen in the attached photo, the G55 cables that were going into the cd changer appear to have rectangular ends that do not allow them to be installed inside the dension plug. Attached is also a photo of how they typically look, with round ends.
What is my best course of action here? Is there a safe way to replace the fiber optic cable ends?
