E500 Navigation Problems

E500 Navigation Problems
I recntly bought a 2004 E500 with Nav already installed. I am having two probelms:
1. The navigation system only gets you to a "block" of addresses even though you can enter a specific address. I have talked to Tele Atlas who makes the disk and they have told me the data is there on the disk for the unit to access. For POIs you can navigate to a specific addres sbut others only get you to the block, e.g. 814 will get you to the 800 to 899 block. The OEM unit is made by Harman Becker.
2. My unit gives me a warning such as "prepare to make a left turn in 500 yards" and it is really about a 100 feet.
There is no calibration screen on this model.
