Command Protection
I am new to the forums..less than a year, and I figure most of you already know; however, for those like me, this might be helpful. I called my insurance company for another matter today, and in passing, I asked how they (Geico) handled modifications, the response recieved was great.
I was informed they will cover the mods under my standard policy and increased the value of my car by adding the value of each mod to my car. (I arrived at a value as if the part was installed from my local MB dealer with the expertise of the man from down under ...MBenzNL). I did not have to fax, or take pictures, or sign in blood. So I now have auto insurance coverage against theft and damage for my Command, blinking side mirrors, MF Steering wheel & Instrament cluster.
Next of course will be the TV tuner, Xenons, & UHI....
