Third party wireless CarPlay dongle for 2016-20 Merc?
Anyone tried these Wireless CarPlay dongles that make the iPhone thing it is the radio and the redo think the dongle is the iPhone? They are supposed to take a wired CarPlay vehicle and transform it to wireless.
I have read seemingly confusing reports on other car forum sites about maps not working, or a slight delay in your iPhone voice and a recent report that a firmware update bricked bricked dongles, yet the site CarPlay2air has seemingly spotless feedback. Something is not adding up. All this from Hyundai, Subaru, VW forums, and no mention on Mercedes yet.
It seems it might be fine for bombing around playing music and running Waze, but that for phone conversations and some other CarPlay interface features, it might prove glitchy.
