I was installing some additions to the G and found that the sub is pre-wired. This is interesting, especially since the HK option wasn't even available in 2002. This may apply to other models also - I would check before running additional wires or buying some expensive gizmo.

See attached pic - the connector is covered in foam - it DOES work. I plugged in one of the rear corner speakers to test.
