Subs for w210 Bose E55 ?

Subs for w210 Bose E55 ?
Thinking about replacing the WEAK package tray subs in my Bose equipped E55. Looks like 8" woofers will fit to replace the (6") Bose weaklings.
I know that the Bose system is 2 ohm. And I know that mounting on the package tray means the subs need to be of the "free air" variety.
Any suggestions based upon experience ? THANKS !

The Bose door speakers are 2 ohm. The subwoofer is 0.5 ohm, in the C32.
The Kicker Comp VR10 or VR8 works ok for free air. They come in a dual voice coil, with 2 ohm or 4 ohm.
