L.E.D. s to have to have not??

sounding out for some L.E.D. kits

ive seen led bulbs for sale on ebay, and not to sure about them.they seem too simple.has anyone had their lights converted? i assumed thered be a need to change lenses. also ive heard i need to install a load balancer inbetween each `pair` ie between both rear brakelights, rear indicators and so on.??
i love the modern look they give.can anyone shed any `light` on the subject (pardon the pun.)

yes a load equalizer is required for each bulb. i tried to do it for my turn idicators and the brake lights but they didnt light up bright enough for me. then again my brake light bulbs face upward on the coupe and the LED's are directional. my brother put them on his car and they still didnt seem bright enough for me. just my $0.02.

Qualtity has alot to do with LED bulbs. If you buy cheap you get cheap. I put LEDs in my ML for tail lights and brake lights. They are great. The best place to get good quality LEDs is from formymercedes.com. Load equalizers are only needed for the turn signals. http://www.formymercedes.com

Load equalizers are required for all circuits that detect burnt-out bulbs. This means that all MB cars built (at least) in or after 2001 will need them if you want to replace incandescent bulbs with LED-based ones.

Just a note: formymercedes.com is an online reseller, they do not make LED bulbs. You can get the same stuff from many online stores on the 'Net. Pay attention at the light output of a LED bulb. As many already noticed, most of them do not match the luminocity of the incandescent bulbs they are intended to replace - no matter what they claim they are ("superbright", etc).
