rear dvd monitors not working
hi, forgive me if there is already a thread about this, but I recently purchased a 2018 s63 that has the rear entertainment package. There is a single disk dvd player in the center console at the rear below the air vents and two monitors behind each seat and 2 remote controls. I've had difficulty turning the monitors on and the dvd player is not recognizing any dvds I insert. When I insert a dvd and go to the media source on the front screen, the dvd source is greyed out and says no dvd recognized. Also, I've noticed in the back both monitors have the "on" luminated at the bottom of each screen, but the screens are blank/black. I went to the parental controls and it gives me 2 options- 1 to lock and 1 to display. It allows me to check the lock option but the 2nd option won't allow me to check. I've tried touching the "on" at the bottom of each screen and nothing happens. I pulled out both remotes, changed the source to both L & R rear monitors and pushed the on button, but nothing happens. I replaced the batteries in both remotes and tried again and nothing happens. I then went into the fuse box at the right rear of the trunk and checked fuses 462 and 416, both appear to have not blown. I additionally tried to insert an ipod and other electronic device into each rear monitor near the lower right bottom to see if that would activate the screens and give some input and I get nothing. I did notice when I turn the car off, both rear monitors still have the "on" illuminated. I have an appt scheduled with MB next week, but figured I'd ask this forum to see if anyone else has experienced this before or have any other tips or suggestions on how I might fix or activate the monitors so they work. Any help is greatly appreciated. thanks
I also would like to add, I removed both fuses in the rear box for 5 minutes with the car off.....I did notice the "on" turned off. After 5 minutes or so I inserted the fuses back in and still the same result, no response from the monitors....just showing "on" illuminated at the bottom of each screen. thx
