No audio except CD

No audio except CD
I have a strange problem which I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere (yet). I have a W204 with COMAND (NTG4 I believe). A few months ago I noticed that when I started the car after a few days the audio system worked perfectly. If I stopped the engine and restarted it within a few hours the memory card, radio, internal HDD music register, navigation voice and Bluetooth audio from the phone would go silent - the seconds of play of any song will continue but no sound. The strangest bit (at least to me) is that the CD/DVD disks will play normally.
I have tried resetting the unit by pressing the power button until it restarts and via the engineering menu but this does not help. Only by switching off the car for more than 6 hours will the unit work properly.
Anyone has an idea of what could be the cause of this?
