Hello all,
I had a 2010 C300 4Matic that was in the garage for 2 years without being turned on at all. Went to the mechanic, got a new battery, changed all fluids and its good to go except the radio will not turn on. I checked fuse 26 and 84 and replaced them anyways and still no luck. Any tips?
Also checked the fuse behind the head unit.

Back when stealing radios out of cars was the big thing, radios were being designed such that if they were disconnected from the battery, they would go brain dead, thus discouraging theft. A dead battery would induce the same dead state. Your radio docs might have some activation key and procedure. Else visit a dealer for assistance.

Not this any more on a 2010 Mercedes. Radios are coded to the car VIN and stored on a non-volatile memory. The code kicks in if the radio is put to a different car.Originally Posted by streborx

I guess Plutoe means measure the voltage supply from the radio connector to be sure wiring is fine.
EDIT: is the display dead? Checked fuse #11 too?

Have you verified that everything else electrical -- windows, seats, lights, etc. -- operate normally?
