CD Stuck in Command; cannot open any media! Help!
Just as I'm getting settled into my W222 S550...
I put some homemade CDs into the command unit a few weeks back. No issues and I never listened to the CDs. Today the CD player starts making constant noise (like it is moving a disk). I have tired to eject them but the screen does not even come up. Worse, the Media screen will not come up so I cannot even switch to Aux or other media. I tried a reboot several times but no luck.
Any tips or tricks here? The only threads I found about it involved replaced the entire Command unit. Since I am out of warranty, that is my last resort.

As a follow-up...
I removed the COMMAND unit and partially disassembled it enough to remove all 3 CDs. I then carefully put it back together and into the vehicle. Unfortunately, the CD player mechanism seems to still have its issue - it makes a loud mechanical sound for about 30 seconds on start-up. Now I have to decide if that is something I can live with or if I need to spent $1000 on a refurbished unit. Ugh.
