2005 E320CDI....was without battery for several months due to an engine problem, but before issues started, radio was running fine, now it wont turn on
I have an android radio I installed several years ago...exact same install steps as here:
After getting the car back from the Mechanic who fixed the engine, radio does not turn on. I have checked all the fuses, engine bay, driver side, and trunk, and all are good. I am getting power to the unit.,...but not sure if its correct voltage etc. I have also bought another head unit to ensure it the radio itself ( btw, both head units fuses are fine)

Happy to report I have figured out the issue.. first and foremost, never trust HF materials......their alligator clip dongles had me chasing all sorts of weird issues. ( 7 out of 10 dongles did not provide connectivity). Once I figured out this issue (as i was just trying to fire up the radio off the battery before physical install, rest was easy. The old Android radio had a different pin out, and I had to splice the old custom cable with the new dongle. (wish I had the tools to pulls pins out of the harness....but ohh well, solder and shrink tubbing does the trick),. New android is in and working like a charm....Im really glad the old one broke actually.
