I have recently purchased a 2018 w213 e220d estate. The car is fitted with a single widescreen and an analogue cluster. I believe the car is using an audio 20 multimedia platform, and does not have apple car play. I have seen online that aftermarket OBD solutions are the cheapest/best option for retrofitting car-play into a Mercedes. I have been pointed in the direction of an eBay user called 'vladimircdi', who by all accounts is trustworthy and has received plenty of good reviews. However before i commit to purchasing one of these devices I was wondering if anyone has done something similar, and if there are any good reasons I should not go ahead with one of theses aftermarket solutions. Any input or advice is much appreciated!
