adaptive headlights
I have a 2007 CLS63, the adaptive headlights are not moving and are not pointing straight forward. Cost to replace was quoted at $1800 per side. Is there a manual way to adjust them to point straight? I really don't care if they move but right now I don't have much forward illumination,

This issue isn't the amount of light it's where the light is pointing. The motors that move the lights aren't working so the drivers side is points far left into the sky and the passenger side is pointing forward but down to the street. I'm hoping there is a way to turn them straight in a fixed position.

Aiming the lights might be possible using a MB Star Diagnostics at a dealership, but it might not be possible to permanently disable them from future movement. I suggested an aftermarket headlight replacement as this would probably be cheaper. LED lights provide not only brighter illumination but also have optic lenses that distribute the light more effectively than a motorized halogen beam. I upgraded my Jeep's headlights to LEDs even though there was nothing malfunctioning with the OE halogens for about $400, and it was money well spent.
