CarPlay audio quality
My 2019 S560 came with Burmester 3D because I like my audio. That system is not the final word in terms of nuance and timing, but it’s a robust system with good staging.
Issue is that mids and highs are distorted when playing through CarPlay (Tidal, Spotify). And much cleaner when straight through USB port.
I believe that CarPlay audio has been a recurring complaint. Does anyone have a synthesis of whether there’s a way to address, like a firmware upgrade on the Mercedes system?

My understanding is Carplay connects wirelessly via Bluetooth or wi-fi. Have you tried both connection types? Do you have some other device such as a wireless dashcam or radar detector operating closeby when you're experiencing poor audio? You might try disabling all the other wireless connections on your phone just to see if there's any change.
