I installed the phone kit myself and now i am getting the srs and airbag off sensors on, i am wondering if it has anything to do with the phone. i have not been to the dealer to do the aam coding, would that have anything to do with it?

Depending on the work, disconnecting the battery on newer cars that can definitely be a bad idea. Each job needs to have considered the possibility of shorting things out versus the reprogramming requirements, and for almost all jobs, it's more efficient to leave the battery connected. This is especially true if the person doing the work does not have a list of reprogramming requirements, or sets out knowing that he will not do the reprogramming in the first place.
Strangely, some of Mercedes' own reprogramming documents leave out steps such as normalizing the idle stop sensor, which can lead to "wandering" or "rough" idle.
i think i need to ground the phone kit since there is no ground cable and i put a v60 kit in a car made for a timeport, the v60 kit has a gorunding cable but my car does not have that prewired, what gauge do i need and where can i get the cable, i think this may be causeing my srs and airbag sensors to come on, when i disconnect the phone kit the sensors go off, could this be because of the grounding, also how would i connect the wires together the best way, should i just use electrical tape?
If you're grounding electrical components, make sure you have a good chassis ground and a good electrical connection to it. At the least crimp on either a wire tap or a spade connector to a grounding screw. Better yet would be to solder the connections. A $10 soldering iron from radio shack would work great and it's not all that hard to do on larger wires like the ones you're dealing with. Poor grounds pick up engine noise which can seriously mess with the sound. You don't want or need that. Hope it helps.

Has anyone else had this problem?
Im wondering if the occupancy wires for the seat have been uncoupled, giving an SRS error due to a lost connection. This is entirely consistent with removing or lifting a seat and loosening the connections to do the work and then not fitting one of the plugs properly afterwards.

The phone controller has a ground in it. If it is running then the phone is grounded.
