I am looking to install a box to add Apple CarPlay/Android Auto to the NGT 4.0 COMMAND in my 2012 SLS AMG,

Does anyone have a kits they have installed on a NGT 4.0 I would really like to maintain some of the functionality like this:
1. Skipping tracks forward and back using the buttons on the radio
2. Add a touch screen without just putting an overlay see this example 3. Wireless connection

So far I have found the following options but they all seem to require the head unit to be running in AUX mode

I don't know if this will work for you, but I just put this in my 2014 S550, it's spendy, but retains all factory functions and add wireless car/android play, it's also completely plug and play.

it’s worth it to me, I’ve had it for a couple months and it’s worked flawlessly. It’s truly plug and play. And I didn’t lose any of my factory functions.
