Comand ntg4.0 difficulty
Hi.
So this is my first question after owning Mercedes for over twelve years !
I’ve purchased an E-class S212 2010 with Comand NTG4.0 for a specific purpose and although it has front and rear sensors I need a reverse camera for hitching up a trailer.
Did some research and found you can add a camera to the existing head unit but you need to allow this by accessing the engineering mode. So I press ‘hang up, #, 1.
Nothing, zilch,Nope, try Accept call, #, 1. Still nothing !
I then see that a few people have also had difficulties accessing this but no one seems to give an answer to rectify this.
Help needed please, is there another way round this or do I need someone with the correct software to reactivate it ?

Ignition on (not engine), press and hold in order: hangup, #, 1 and hold for 5-10 seconds.

Didn't work for me the first time I tried it, but absolutely does work. I have a 2011 C class with NTG4 (like you) and have used engineering mode a couple times.
