New iPod Integration Solution?

Monster made an announcement yesterday. Looks as if this unit will allow control of the iPod with the steering wheel controls AND will display the iPod 'screen' info on the display. Anyone know more? It's called the iCruze. Very limited additional info on the monster website... www.monstercables.com

I'd LOVE to have this in my '03 W211 since I've got no AUX! I've been trying to work with Dension on it, but their kit is still being "developed."

Since SoundGate hasn't made anything for Mercedes fibre optics (previous D2B that was used for 7 years now, and now MOST in use for 2 years), I doubt that that iPod interface will work with anything we'd like.

Why not just quit fighting and get a COMAND? That would be the simplest solution. No steering wheel controls, but at least the sound comes directly.

One would be led to believe that there's going to be Mercedes integration seeing that Monster is using the W208 CLK (with D2B) in their flash animation on the website. I won't hold my breath, though.

i have a 2003 C320 without navigation.....the pic is what it looks like.

if I got either the monster or the dension product for the IPOD integration, would I get adequate display on my headunit as far as which song/folder is playing on the IPOD?

There's no D2B in that car. It has an aftermarket headunit.

Looking at the web site, it does not look like a clean intall. You need a face plate maybe? Looks ok but probably no better than the glove box aux.
