When I first got my '17 GLS550 I was excited to use Carplay. I just plugged my phone in and Carplay appeared on the screen. If I was already listening to Sirius, it kept playing even after starting Carplay. I couldn't change the station but that didn't matter. This past Tuesday morning I plugged in my phone and nothing happened. I was on way to dr so had no time to fool with it. Got home, searched this site, and found something about Focus driving. Set that up, plugged in the phone and Carplay started. However, next time I plugged the phone in...nothing. After mucking around some more, I discovered that setting the Comand on Tel would start Carplay when I plugged in the phone. It added a step requiring me to "Activate" Carplay by pressing the Comand control. I could start Waze and then also start Sirius through Carplay. Cumbersome. Too may steps compared to what it was. Anyone got any ideas about how I could return to what I first had? TIA.
