Can we add aftermarket brake light flash to solid modules?
I’m noticing more and more drivers almost ending up in my trunk by going through the bumper…
I’d like to avoid that.
I’d like to install an aftermarket flasher module to my CHMSL, and use one with flash to solid and traffic/use frequency logic.
This X1 seems to be the ticket.
Has anyone installed one?
Will it work with (our collective) electrically sensitive systems and be CANBUS compliant?
Would an inline resistor be a must?
Thanks in advance!

great stuff, these do constant flashing and it's programmable with timed shutdown for traffic jams
not very easy to program for the programmable version as the connection to the phone is not very steady
The coded version does only trigger with emergency braking
so if you want permanent, go for these and on the coded version i can add both but super bright + your blinkers as option
I’ll have to find time to install - knowing it won’t throw a CANBUS issue or any other issue when placed in-line to the CHMSL - I’ll give it a go.
I bought the non-smart version - the one I can code/program on the bench for traffic jams and to make less irritating for a person behind me…
Interesting you can add more possibly with Developer Mode and Panic Stop - if I want to add those and the blinkers, we’ll have to talk and I’ll plug in my laptop…I’ve only experienced Panic Stop once - and it was for a deer…

no faults on cluster
your version should behave the same, just not super custom programmable
