DIY V1 Modifications
I'm slowly becoming a bigger fan of Valentine. I bought one for my SUV, but for my E55 I need a concealed solution. Seems there are a lot of DIY'ers out there doing little things to the V1 to make it into something more than just something you hang from your visor.
I've read of one user having a custom shop opening up the V1 and moving the front sensor to the back of his rear view mirror, and the back sensor closer to the outside of the car by the trunk. And the main unit hidden in the car. They put the concealed display into his factory rearview mirror.
Has anyone done anything like this? Has anyone opened up the V1 to see if the sensors are hardwired to the circuit board in there?
Checkout the links below for aftermarket V1 products. Please add to this list if you know of anything else I do not know of.
