03 CLK 500 console phone connections????
I have a 2003 CLK500 without nav or phone options. In the center console there are conections for what I suspect is a cell phone . There is a recepticle that is behind a small plastice plug that looks similar to a "cat 5" type plug and under the plastic there is also a plug that looks like a cell phone antenna plug.
My question is what do I need to attach to have a cell phone interface that works throught the radio system. Is all that I need a cradle and proper phone?

Nope. You also need a control module, antenna splitter and antenna amplifier. The car is prewired, you have found the wiring. You still must add several more parts to make the system work.

Contact Steve at steve@mbenznl.com and he can get the correct parts for you. Also, not all phones will work with the system. do a search for "UHI"

You can get the parts needed from any mercedes dealer. You will need to use a mercedes handset also, regular store bought phones will not work unless you get adventuresome with wiring and stuff....
