Whining noise from AVIC N1?

Whining noise from AVIC N1?
I noticed a whining noise coming from my avic n1 that picks up and slows down with acceleration. Most noticeable when the NAv is telling you where to turn. How do you get rid of this whining/whistling noise?

It can be a number of things. Sounds like the unit wasn't installed correctly and noise is getting is somewhere--probably through a ground loop but can be other places. I've never seen the detailed specs on the n1 but is it a high current unit--high current units like most of the Alpines stop noise from getting in. How beefy and secure and short is your ground wire? Do your audio signal wires run parallel to any power wires? There's a ton of different ways the noise can get in. Take it to a good audio place and they can probably assess pretty quickly where the noise is coming in.

N1 noise
I installed one of these the other day... make sure your ground is good and if you have it running a set of amps the noise is probably coming in through them. In which case reference a post put up by performanceclk that I responded to. unless your wires are running next to some really large power lines in the car I doubt noise is coming in that way, pioneer has that stuff insulated pretty well.
The N1 is pretty nast Im planning on putting it in my ML soon, an aftermarket headunit is pretty much the only thing yet to go in to my truck. What vehicle is it in?
