Non start vito 2020
so I have a 2020 1.7 Vito that has a fault.
Driver was driving along and the van just died, since then it cranks but doesn’t start.
I have 256bar of fuel pressure in the rail, crank sensor is reading speed and the crank/cam sensors are synchronised.
I have XENTRY and to start with the van wouldn’t read properly, it said I had a Can issue on the head unit and some issues with phone mic & alarm sensor. I unplugged the head unit and interior light and now xentry works fine.
i now have the following codes
N30/50 ESP
p300893
N68 Power steering Circuit 30 Malfunction
B210F00 (current and stored)
N30/4
C06630 CAN Signal Accept Phone Call CAN Missing or Inplausable
N3/50
P300893
The Control unit has a malfunction The Control unit switched off improperly.
All of these faults occurred approximately 8miles before the breakdown
we checked the ESP for power as directed XENTRY we have 12.6 v in but XENTRY also shows that we only have 6.5v within the ESP “relay valve” (abs unit)
Engine control unit is saying we have no start authorisation which I’m guessing is the cause of the non start.
Iv seen reference to other people with similar fault codes online but no causes.
Does anyone know whether a power supply issue in the ESP would cause a non start situation?
Im wondering could the power fault in the esp be causing a CAN bus issue creating the non start situation.
This issue is driving me nuts so any suggestions would be gladly received
Thanksin advance
jason
Your main focus should be that low 6.5-volt reading inside the ABS/ESP unit. That points to a serious internal fault in the module itself or a bad ground. Since you have power to the unit, the module is likely the culprit. A failing ESP module can drag down the CAN bus and prevent the car from starting.
You'll probably need to replace the ESP control unit.
