MP3/CD/DVD Changer ?

CL 600 Bi-Turbo
MP3/CD/DVD Changer ?
I know nothing at all about this guys, so any help would be grateful.

I have a 2003 CL600 with the CD based navigation system.
I would like to change the MB 6 disc CD changer to a 10disc MP3/CD/DVD changer. Are there any units which the board recommends, & will it be a simple unit out unit in install ?
Will the DVD's also be playable on the command screen ?

NO, you cannot change this system to a DVD changer or Mp3 Changer. Only newer MOST based cars can be done. I am not sure if yours is MOST based but I think it was 2004 when they changed it in the CL. Can anyone confirm this?

it is the fiber optic system of the car. The method of communiciation of devices hooked up via fiber cable. Your car is probablly the older D2b system that came out in 98.

You have a CD-based navigation system (probaby 16/9), so definitely not MOST

The only way you can do this for audio MP3/CD/DVDs is to replace connect the new changer to the auxiliary input (I think 2003 is the only W215 CL COMAND with aux input). You'll need the remote controller in the front as well, to control the new changer.

If you want to view video as well (DVD videos in a changer with DVD video support), you will need to add an OEM TV tuner (or some aftermarket video adapter). You'll still need the remote controller to change tracks/discs etc.
