AGM or Lithium Battery CLE53
Apologies if this been asked before - but I've recently purchased a 2025 CLE 53 AMG (UK Spec) I have a Noco 5 Genius trickle charger that has settings for 12 Volt battery, AGM battery, or lithium battery. I want to find out what setting I should use for the trickle charger when connecting it to the battery underneath the hood/bonnet? A lot of online searching suggests it's an AGM battery but when I look closely there seems to be a metal box I assume being the battery, deep behind the charging posts and it has LI - Ion labelled on it, thus indicating it's a lithium battery. Does anybody know for sure whether we have AGM batteries or lithium ion batteries for use with my trickle charger?

I believe you have two main batteries as your engine is mild hybrid? 12 volt agm which is what you charge through the charging/jumping points, and 48 volt lithium which is charged through the 12 volt battery and or charging system. I suppose you also have an auxiliary battery somewhere.

You're looking at the correct part. That metal box with the LI-ION label is a lithium-ion starter battery. Your car has a lithium battery, not an AGM. Use your NOCO's lithium battery setting to charge it. Don't use the AGM or standard 12V settings.
