AMI/MMI not working in 2014 E350 convertible
My AMI/MMI jack doesn't seem to be working. I tried to test it via an old ipad and audio out cable, and no sound comes through even when aux is selected. Conveniently, my neighbor has a 2013 Benz, so I tested it in his car and it works fine. I took out number 11 and 26 fuses for a bit, and they both looked fine. Also tried hard resetting the radio, and still nothing. Anyone have any other ideas before I check youtube for tutorials on replacing them?

The AMI port in your car is likely faulty, even though the cable works elsewhere. A common issue is the internal wiring or the connector behind the port coming loose. Before replacing it, check the connector in your glovebox behind the module it might just be unplugged. If it's secure, the port itself probably needs replacement.

Was there mention of circumstances? Was it working before? Or are you installing something like Carplay?
Does that input need to be activated in COMAND?
Unless there was some mechanical trauma I would check soft causes first. From what I have seen in my W204 the connectors are very solid and not going to come loose or get noisy. In fact they're very difficult to pull apart.
