... #1 remote radar detector for the money. Why pay $1000.00 from Escort when you can have virtually the same detector (Escort and Bel has same ownership) ...

Get a V1 instead...

I am the former onwer of Bel, Uniden (Stalker) and Escort detectors and now have two Valentine 1 at home (one for each car). In my view, they're the best your money can buy (both have paid themselves for a long time ago). That's my two cents for whatever they're worth. Good luck.

valentine is the best choice, if u hide a radar reciever in ur bumper, it will be less effective then if mounted on the wndshield, the radar in the bumper wont have such an effective line of range, and cars in front of you will block out the radar.

I have the Bel remote installed. If ALL you're interested in is radar detection then the V1 is the way to go hands down. If however you're in active Laser shifting then a remote device is essential. While the V1 will alert you to a laser hit it's too late - trust me been there done that (ticket finally off my license). I am very happy with the Bel - it has both Front and rear laser shifters. In NY they will also hit you from the rear, hence the need for both.
