Bluetooth set up
My new E500 shows Bluetooth on the Comand menu when I press the SERV button. My wife's Bluetooth Sony Ericsson phone gets recognised in the car too. What's the deal here?
I don't yet know how to synch the devices, but if I work this out, can I use a bluetooth mobile phone in the car as well as the regular phone I've put in the UHI cradle?

Wow, if you have Bluetooth in your car, and the car came with a cradle for a carphone as well? My guess is you probably could use both if they're different. Only thing I would think you could do is try your wife's phone connects with BT and your carphone in the cradle. And call each phone with your home line to see if both work.

I guess I was hoping I could answer the call using the other phone or some other Comand feature, but I can't work out how to do it. I suspect it can't be done.

The problem is, it doesn't say how to use it. When the SE rings, it just rings as normal on the handset despite showing the BT flashing blue diode.

, but the bluetooth option in the new command system is only to be used for connecting a bluetooth headset (or other audio connection for that matter). All bluetooth devices are found during the scanning process but only audio devices are supported (that was the answer I got when searching for this info). A real miss for MB because BMW does support Bluetooth in their Z4 :v
