bluetooth release for d2b benz's

Thanks for your recent email inquiring about our Bluetooth cellular integration product – ARGOS. Please see the attached flyer for functionality. The flyer is for BMW, but the Mercedes functioning will be the same. We expect to be able to ship the product by end of March. The cost is around $850 plus shipping. We are currently taking pre-orders for the product. What I need to put you on the pre-order list, if you are interested, is a phone number, the make and model of your MB and what Bluetooth phone you are using. I will call you when the product is in our office and ready to ship for an address and credit card information. If you have any additional questions, please feel fee to give me a call or ship another email. Thanks again for your interest.
Reminds me of that M&Ms Christmas commercial
where the M&Ms see Santa and they both faint saying "They do exist!"

You have stumped me with your most recent question however. So, let me
contact the engineer and find out the answer to that. I will get back
with
you as soon as he let's me know.
Much thanks for the chuckle!

Michelle,
So you are a real company not working out of someone
home. Will the system work with the Command system in
my 2004 SL500. In the upper corner of my command
screen, I am able to see if my phone is roaming.

I e-mailed EIS about the Bluetooth PSE and got about the same response. Basically, that it’ll be available late March to early April for $850. I like the idea, and I'm debating getting either this or a MikBox to update my existing V60 kit and get to a GSM phone. I like the Mikbox because it's relatively cheap and seems to be proven, but the idea of jumping in my car with a bluetooth phone in my pocket and having wireless hands-free is very appealing.
So, is anyone planning on buying this EIS system when it comes out?
Miroj, I saw your comment and am interested in hearing more about your quality concerns. If this is just a PSE, why would the external cabling matter?

Really glad to see you checking on them. I've been waiting for a kit like this to come out for a while. The only problem I see is that they kit won't fully integrate with the MB COMMAND and Instrument Cluster. It's really nice to be able to see who is calling right on the Instrument Cluster. From what I read on their website, it says "We do not offer support for display of the calling number on the radio, etc. at this point." It would be really awsome but having bluetooth without your phonebook on the COMMAND and not being able to see who is calling on the Instrument Cluster is like installing an aftermarket Bluetooth kit.
