I am going to be leasing a 06 325i in about 6-8 weeks. I just ordered the car yesterday. I went to the leasecompare.com website and it kind of gave me an idea of how much my monthly payment will be. I am just a little bit confused about the Total Due at signing amount the quote is providing me. If I say I am going to put down $3,500 as down payment, then why the Total Due at signing is $3,853 + tax & license. I understand the extra money for the tax and license, but what about the extra $353.00? Also, should I wait until I get a delivery date from the dealership before I submit my application?

The total due at signing is your downpayment plus your first month's lease payment.

You will want to apply for credit about 30 days prior to when you expect delivery.
