Help! Getting charged for miles when purchasing at end of lease
Help! Getting charged for miles when purchasing at end of lease
It was always my understanding that if you purchase a vehicle at the end of a lease, you don't have to pay for extra miles on the vehicle. But I went to our local MB dealer this evening to purchase our ML350 at the end of our lease, and he's telling me that we'd have to pay 25 cents/mile for the additional miles EVEN IF we purchase the vehicle. Is this standard??
You should be able to avoid the mileage penalty by purchasing your lease outright by paying the entire “payoff amount” (remaining payments, taxes, fees plus residual value). Just make sure whatever happens, the dealer does not “ground” the lease. This will trigger an auditor to come out and will report mileage to MBFS even if you or the dealer end up buying the car from MBFS.
determined part numbers for the different shims
I got confused while ordering the shims because I noticed references to two different part numbers as the correct part (A2113250384 vs A2113250584)
Just in case anyone is confused while ordering the correct shim or if you want to get a different size:
A2113250284 = 5MM
A2113250384 = 13MM
A2113250484 = 17MM
A2113250584 = 21MM
