Aircon after engine removal

Just had a new timing chain done on my W245 and I know the engine was removed in order to do the job.

I have my car back and the aircon no longer gets cold at all.

It’s like having no aircon - would I need to regas the aircon after a job like this?

whoever did your timing chain, wouldn't they make sure your aircon works?

any chance they will consider putting aircon back in working order, assuming it was working before?

The mechanic has said the car needs an aircon regas - the issue is the aircon was fine before the engine was removed
