(CVT?) buzzing sound

Hello
when I soft pedal or slow down, usually in gear 1/2/3, I hear a buzzing faint noise coming from the front. It goes away at higher speeds.
if it rains, it is so faint that it’s difficult to hear. If happens only if I soft press the gas, very gently, and for a fraction of a second.
Sounds like a metallic spring in the seat, but it is not, it’s some sort of an electric sound.

Attached a recording, where I over do it.

any idea what it might be? Am taking the car to the MB dealership to get it checked out.

What year, model, motor size, transmission type and country? Also how many miles or kilometres?

I listened to recording 5 times, sorry but no idea what that is

maybe a good independent MB mechanic could figure that out, for less than MB dealer

Possibly is your car showing any scan codes?

Do you mean if the dashboard is showing any error codes? Nope

No, I meant codes on a scanner plugged into the OBDII port under the dash of your car

OP, did you ever figure out what codes were stored?

Sorry for the late reply, I don’t have any scanner at home, is this something the MB dealer does regularly? It’s due for a service in a few weeks, I was thinking to combine the two things.

Hello, nope, we’ve decided to wait and combine with the next service which is due in a few weeks, I sent the recording to the MB dealer but they said that they need to replicate the noise themselves first to be able to take a look.

I noticed that when the car is cold, for the first 30”-60”, there is no noise. It starts after 30-60”.

Did they ever get back to you?
