B-class Coming to the US???

I know that original plans were to bring it to the US, but dollar value conversion or something like that I guess stopped it!? Are there still plans to bring it this way in the next year or two...to compete with the A3??

Thanks,
-Brad-

The dealer told me that they expect them but couldn't give a time frame.

They make too much sense with our fuel economy concerns. So, MBUSA will probably try to cram another wasteful V8 down the throat of the US market!

Check out UK MB site and look at the fuel economy figures for the B CDI:

57 highway/38 city with automatic transmission.

Other that the E320 CDI, I don't understand why they keep their entire diesel (read:fuel efficient) lineup out of North America.

Dealer told me the same thing with uncertainty!! That's something else I can't understand is why MB is keeping the fuel efficient cars out of the US? They're sure to be a hit, especially seeing the success of the E320 CDI!!! I'd buy one in a heart beat if I had the money!!!

there are a few mb reps in california driving around in a few of them. got the chance to test drive one when he stopped by the dealer i worked for. it was very impressive. the quality felt real good. it had parktronic too...something that the c-class don't even have. the rep said that currently there are no plans for the US market because of the high euro vs. dollar, however the Canadians get them.

My bro told me that there were a group of 5-6 B-class driving around here in Colorado, so that might be true.
