HID Install Issues
Before I begin with the issue, I just wanted to let you all know that I tested this kit on my Mazda MX-5 which also uses H7 bulbs and worked perfectly fine.
I recently installed a conversion H7 HID kit for my B-Class and the darn thing doesn't work after all my wiring and installation. The problem I'm having is that the passenger side light goes on and off after a few seconds, while the drivers side bulb flickers trying to come on. It seems like there is not enough current going to the bulbs. I heard from a friend and his BMW when he installed his conversion HID kit that the dealer can actually hookup a tool to the ECU to change the light settings to an HID mode so that it can produce a lower/high wattage to the lights. Does anyone have and tips or suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance!
Because the halogen bulbs need 55Watts to power on, the HID kits only need 35Watts and that is were the problem is. There is too much current going to the HIDs. The solution is to take your car to the dealership and have a service technician reprogram your ECU so that its XENON=PRESENT. Once that is done, your HID conversion kit will work perfectly fine. Good luck B-Classers!

or you can buy a HID anti-flicker harness
