W245 B-class MPH Instrument Cluster / Speedo Display - convert KM/H
If anyone is looking to convert a km/h speedo display to mph, for a B-class W245, or an A-class W169, imported into the US or Caribbean, from either Europe, Canada, or Japan - I have just the thing:
I bought a spare instrument cluster, just to get the B-class needles for my A200 - so have a few spare bits ...
The actual display faceplate is a [paper] thin plastic, and is very easy to fit.
No other modification is required - just remove the existing km/h face, and place the miles one on (it clicks in two places - around speed and RPM dials).
I will provide detailed instructions (from Mercedes WIS), for the removal of the instrument cluster.
No STAR session is required for this mod, no coding afterwards, and no battery disconnection.
As simple as it gets really.
This is a petrol (gasoline) model faceplate display.
USD $30 or GBP £23 delivered.

How did you calibrate the meters after the swap?
I have problems with the needles not going back to zero.
They stay below zero after I set them at zero on connecting the cable.
