Car in limp mode with ESP issues
Hi. My pre-2005 B-Class is stuck in Limp mode. I got an iCarsoft MB II, which resolved a number of code faults but not all and the car is still in limp mode. I don't know how to interpret the iCarsoft MB II read out properly.
The readings are as follows:
"Review DTC"
2355-000; 2251-00; 2133-000
The Fault code is not found in the database
2272-000
Reverse gear activates the rpm limitation.
2209-000
No CAN message from the control unit N47-5 (ESP and BAS control module).
5C3F
Fault in component N80 (Steering column module)
I'd be grateful for any feedback at all. If the problem is as elementary as changing a car battery, or fuses or something then I'm happy to give it a go myself. If it requires the shop, then I'd like to know what is going on and what I'm talking about when I bring it in. I'd rather avoid having to bring it in to the local official MB dealer as their servicing prices are horrendous and the car is not worth very much at this stage.
Thanks in advance.
