Position Sensor Problem P0016?
Hi guys,
I need some help.
About a month ago my engine management light came on my B200 Turbo and the car started to run very lumpy especially at low revs.
I called out the AA and he read the fault code as P0016 which is the ‘Crankshaft Position Sensor’.
The AA guy checked the oil level and it was low so he added two litres of oil and the car returned to running as normal however the engine light stayed on.
A week later I took my car to the local garage and they said the problem was the crankshaft sensor which required replacing at £160+vat.
The local garage replaced the crankshaft sensor however the engine management light stayed illuminated after clearing the fault code.
After changing the sensor the local garage are saying they don’t know what the problem is.
Has anyone has the same problem or know of a solution?
