Auto Start-stop works well in city drives but not in Long drives.
My 2015 B200 CDI has an auto start-stop system. In normal drives in the city it works normally. After a few seconds of driving the orange @ symbol in the cluster turns green and then every time I stop, the engine shuts down. The engine restarts on taking my foot off the brake. Sometimes on stopping for a long time - 2-3 mins, the @ light turns yellow and engine restarts.
I've noticed this problem on 2 highway trips. The @ light is green, engine shuts down when stopped (like in a tollgate), but on taking my foot off the brake pedal, the whole car just starts juddering. I have to turn the key off and restart the car. After parking the car for a while, the Auto start-stop system starts working again.
OBD2 scan doesn't show any errors. There are no other issues with the car.
I'm in Bengaluru, India with moderate to hot weather if that makes a difference.
