A relative who sells MB said their inventory person has already put in orders for a week or 2 now on c350 4matic coupes. Not taken a deposit but just dealer inventory they ordered. No pricing yet.
Because he doesn't think that these engines will be trouble free. Most of the early iterations on DI on other main manufacturer models have shown to have EXCESSIVE carbon buildup due to direct injection. The new C250 and C350 engines are purely direct injection (and no hybrid design). This means that they too, will probably suffer from excessive carbon buildup.
Typically around 60-70k miles, the engine has a moderate amount of carbon buildup, needing a thorough cleaning (very expensive) and right outside the warranty period.
My advice - get the extended warranty or lease it!
Hello everyone, I have not contributed anything for a while due to my deep frustration with MBUSA and their delivery issues. If you note in my earlier posts, I have had quite a few issues. Anyway, My 2012 C350 Sport Sedan should be available for pickup here in Germany by March 27. This is the first time I have heard of issues with the DI engines but again I do not know anyone who has a Mercedes outside of their warranty or more than 50K miles on their engines. Just in case, I am posting a link to the Mercedes Benz Technical Service Bulletins site that I hope everyone will find useful in keeping up with maintenance and warranty issues. The link is http://www.automd.com/tsb/mercedes-benz_m . Hope yu find this useful.
They released pricing... if you google some articles.. its $2k more over the rwd counterpart.. a relative said they have had them on order for over 2.5 weeks now for dealer inventory...
Hey everyone. New user here as I have my first MB on order. I saw the question of when the 4matic will be available in the U.S.. I can't speak for other cities or states, but here in Indianapolis, I reserved the c350 coupe 4matic and it went into production 3/10 and fingers-crossed will be delivered mid-late April. I didn't google the price like someone said, yet. However, they did just say to figure adding 2K to the RWD version. Looking forward to my first one. If you have any advice or suggestions for me...I'd appreciate it.
