My New C250 Coupe
I've had it for just a couple of weeks. If you're in FL and looking for a deal, I highly recommend MB of Ft Myers. Best deal of all the 10 dealers I checked with by far. Their opening bid was almost twice as much off MSRP as my next best one!
Although, it wasn't all smooth sailing. After I'd negotiated the price on Thursday, I was planning to drive to Ft. Myers on Saturday to seal the deal. Friday afternoon around noon I got an e-mail that someone else was looking at the same car and they'd need a deposit to hold it for me. Unfortunately, I didn't get the message till around 5PM and when I called they had sold it!
I was pretty upset, but the guy I was working with found an identical car at MB of West Palm Beach and also knocked another $500 off the price. They traded a E-Class they needed for the C-Coupe. Drove to Ft. Myers on Saturday, got all the papers signed, and they arranged transport for the car to be there on Tuesday.
I was going trade in a '98 Toyota 4Runner SR5 I've had for 11 years, but they only offered me $1000 for it which was kind of a joke. Ended up selling it to Carmax here in Orlando for 3X that. Carmax was just down the street from the airport, so I sold the car on Tuesday morning, walked across the street, and caught the Lynx bus to the airport. I bought a one-way ticket to Ft. Myers a couple days prior on Southwest for $50. Much cheaper than renting a car! My sales guy picked me up from the airport and took me to my new ride. All told, everything worked out pretty well.
