Attention 4matic owners
I posted this in another thread, but that one is sort of dead and this is an important issue to discuss. When I test drove a C350 4matic yesterday, I noticed that the steering seemed very heavy at low speed and pretty lose at high speed! This is the opposite of what you would think. I mentioned this to the salesperson when I got back and he found it strange also. Does your car exhibit this?
Also, such a slap in the face by Mercedes to remove the shift paddles on the 4matics!

Wow, the retards at Mercedes Benz Canada better have an answer for this. I am tired of their bull****. **** them, I will buy the car in the USA. They charge us money for 4matic, then take away tons of options.
Tell me, how does your wheel stiffness feel while driving? I am still surprised that the car felt so stiff and heavy at low speed and then so lose at high speed.
Thank you.

2012 C350 Coupe Loaded
Maybe the car you drove had the Dynamic Handling Package. I know the DHP changes the steering feel. I think I read on here somewhere that it does make the steering lighter at higher speed, or maybe the opposite. I can't say for sure. My car does not have the DHP. So I do not know the difference. Something to investigate I suppose?

my steering wheel feels great. a bit looser than the Evo's not too loose at any moment. i think it could be maybe a tiny big stiffer at higher speeds, but again, I havent really tested that..

Ok... Woah, something is stranger here. I drove a 4matic coupe. It had the 4 matic badge under the temperature controls. Where did you buy your car? Are you sure it was not imported from USA? The one I tried also had full leather and the premium package and driver assist package. So fully loaded except for keyless start and camera.

go on highlights and then on safety it shows the paddle shifters.. i just dont know if that is a 350 4matic.. it makes no sense to remove the paddles, but you never know..

yes and I have plenty of pictures on my thread to show that it is a 350 and a 4matic and it has paddles..

Paddle shifts on anything other than the AMG come with the dynamic handling package.

To OP, i also found that the staff at the Canadian dealerships (especially GTA) dont know SH*TT.. . so u might have to do ur own research and validate.

2012 350 4M
2012 350 4m Coupe Canada, No paddle shifters.
Interestingly I picked up my car on Wed, C350 4M, Canada. Loaded minus leather.
No paddle shifters, talked to the dealership and they say CDN 350 4M don't get paddle shifters, my steering wheel has the holes for the paddle shifters.
His logic was that the paddle shifters are more aggressive and shift differently than the stick and with the 4m's there's no paddle shifters.
I also peered in the window of another 350 4M at the dealership and it did not have the paddle shifters.
Again, this is Canada.
If you drive a 2012 C350 4M Canadian model, post if you do or don't have paddle shifters.
Thanks,
Two

2012 C250 Coupe
At any rate, to make you feel better, the paddle shifters are more of a gimmick then any practical use. On auto cars, the inputs are delayed. Its one of the features you try once, and say, that was cool, I'm over it... So just go test drive a coupe with it and get it out of your system.

Yeah, Canada and USA spec cars are different, in USA every single trim coupe gets paddle shifters, C250, C350, C63, with or without DHP (Dynamic Handling Package). It appears in other countries (Canada in specific), you only get paddle shifters if you order the Dynamic Handling Package (probably called "sport package" in their country). Since you can't get 4Matic with DHP (sport package), you can't get paddle shifters in Canada with a 4Matic it seems.

Yea I know their gimmicky, but it just makes me feel like an F1 driver, even if I don't use them. I think I'm gonna glue some on
