Exhaust ting/clatter noise

Anyone else hearing tinging/clattering from their exhaust? Wondering if this is normal. Sounds like there is some piece of metal loose in exhaust. Noticed this after driving on the freeway for about 40 minutes and got out of my car with engine still on today.

I have about 7500 miles on my c250 with jb tune and intake.

Yes, this is normal if you are referring to the "pinging" sound from the exhaust that is most noticeable after turning off the vehicle. This is the noise associated with the heat shields around the exhaust cooling off or letting heat escape. Exhaust gets extremely hot, especially after a long highway run.

Actually this is when the car is idling. Sounds like something metal is loose in the muffler.

Then that is not normal. Sounds like some material got loose in the resonator, or possibly the muffler, but most likely the resonator. Stop on by the dealership and have them check it out. Most likely will need a replacement.

So after driving only about a mile today I noticed the sound is not as loud as it is after a long drive, but definitely still a ting. Going to have the dealer check it out soon.
